How long does it take for a Spider Bite to go away and what’s the best treatment?

I was bitten by a spider 2 days ago and still have lots of swelling, redness & itchiness around the area. It is also hot to the touch and between the size of a quarter and half dollar.

You may be having an allergic reaction, or it may be a wolf spider or such type of bite. They can start to necrotize the flesh (eat away at it) and often require antibiotics to clear them up. I know — been there, had to do that!

If it is still hot to the touch and swollen after 48 hours, you probably should go to the doctor and have it checked.
