An old wives memory aid for treating wasp and Bee Stings is ‘Bee-bicarb:Vinegar-Vasp’. Bicarb is sodium hydrogencarbonate, a weak alkali; vinegar is a weak acid. What does the treatment suggest about the nature of bee and wasp stings?

This simply means that the bee or wasp sting is slightly acidic with a ph of about 3-6 , the cream however is a weak base or alkalie with a ph of about 8-11, the acidic Bee Sting and the alkalie cream with react and lower the ph of the area to 7 or some where very close to that , 7 is completly neatural from an example is pure water ( H2O )
