Yellow Jacket Stings
What is a safe way to reduce swelling from yellow jacket Stings under my eye?
I was stung at least 5 times on my face about 18 hours ago. Most of the pain is completely gone, however the two stings under my eye are very swollen (though not that painful now). I’ve been using a cold compress off and on and I will probably get some Benadryl at the store today.
Any other ideas?
Benadryl is the best bet!
Secondly…..in addition to the cold compresses that you are using, you can try a tea bag. Place a tea bag in a mug of water…heat in the microwave for 2-3 minutes. Remove the tea bag from the mug and allow it to cool. Once it’s cool, squeeze the liquid from it and place it over the affected area! (Plus, you’ll have a cup of tea to drink and enjoy!)
The other thing….and this is going to sound ULTRA weird…..but put hemmorioid cream (preperationH) on the areas. Hemmorioid cream is used to reduce the inflamation……and works on other ‘inflamed” areas!!
