Insect Bite Treatment

Insect Bite?? what do i do??

my boyfriend got “bit” *he thinks* by something about a week ago or so and he didnt think anything of it. last night when he went to show me i noticed his ankle (right below the bite) was very swollen and the site of the bite looks like a bruise almost. i cleaned it with bactine and put cortizone cream on it for him then i had him elevate and ice it for a while but it is no better today. he is going to try to get an appointment tomorrow to get it looked at, but is there something he can do in the mean time?? does anyone know what this might be?? thanks, any help would be appreciated.

Put mud on it. Unless it is a Brown Recluse Spider bite, if so, get to the doctor immediately.
