Insect Bite still itches after 5 days?

I woke up one morning with about 4 Insect Bites. They itched, but all of them except one stopped itching after about 1 day. The remaining bite itched a lot, and as I scratched it, the welt spread to about 6 inches in diameter. I wear pants throughout the day, and it doesn’t itch, but when I come home and take a shower, it starts itching (probably because of the warm water) and starts swelling up again and gets very hot. The welt and itch is still there after 5 days. Should I see a doctor? From past experience, when I get Mosquito bites, they swell up a lot, but they go away after 2 days or so (the itch stops). I just have a feeling this insect bite is not by a mosquito…every night when it itches, it swells up to about the same size; no sign of receding…

try using an over the counter, toothache medican by rubbing a drop or two on the bite site after a shower. do this as often as needed. it will stop the itch, and give the bite time to heal, because u wont feel the need to scratch it, and it should heal in afew days, if nor, see your dr. for sure. hope this solves ur problem.
